Creatures of the Deep is a special exhibit of life-size, animated sea creatures that will be on display at the National Corvette Museum. Similar to last year's exhibit Dinosaurs Alive!, this year's exhibit features large exotic marine life, some of which are up to 25 feet long! These realistic creatures use robotics technology to come alive as they are displayed in a simulated under water sea world.

Educators are invited to take advantage of this special exhibit January 15th through April 2nd at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Field trip reservations are being taken now to see this once-in-a-lifetime exhibit. Students will enjoy seeing and learning about the following marine life creatures as they take a guided tour along our "ocean floor."

Planned Exhibits
Gray Whale
Atlantic White-Sided Dolphin
25 ft. Orca Killer Whale
Architeuthis (Giant Squid)
25 ft. Humpback Whale
Sperm Whale Head Interactive Robot
Great White Shark
And More!

In addition to the actual sea creatures, a Creatures of the Deep field trip also includes:

The Deep Sea Theater: The 28 foot screen features an educational film that will give children an in depth look at the fascinating world of these sea creatures.

Interactive Learning Center: Following an exciting tour, students will enjoy digging for their own "ocean floor" fossils, creating sea creature images and exploring other interactive learning aids in a fun setting.

Teacher Classroom Aids: Our Creatures of the Deep Field Trip Guide includes worksheets, sea creature fact sheets, puzzles, games and educational materials on each sea creature to assist teachers in making their field trip classroom relevant. This special guide is yours to keep following your visit.

Your Creatures of the Deep field trip not only features this special exhibit, but you'll also enjoy all the sites and fun of the National Corvette Museum. We feature 68,000 square-feet of vintage automobiles, one-of-a kind concept cars, and the all-new technological wonders of today! Over 50 Corvettes will be on display in addition to the Creatures of the Deep special exhibit. At your request, students may also see a second film presentation in our Chevrolet Theater detailing the history and mystique behind America's favorite sports car.

Finally, you might consider making your field trip complete with a tour of the world's only Corvette Assembly Plant, located ¼ mile from the National Corvette Museum. This is the only place where students can see the Corvette being assembled from the ground up! Meet the men and women who build this car, and see the Corvette take shape from frame and chassis to the finished product as you progress along the assembly line.

A visit to the National Corvette Museum this semester will provide your students with one of the most enjoyable and educational experiences to be found anywhere in Kentucky.
