'The World We Create' Exhibit
Kids will love this touchable tour of the wonders we make, on loan from the Louisville Science Center! The exhibit has three unique zones that focus on specific themes of engineering and manufacturing. Within those zones is a total of ten exciting exhibits offering a broad sampling of invention and ingenuity. This exhibit is included with regular Museum admission.
Construction Zone: How do your building skills stack up? Exhibits in this zone challenge would-be engineers to construct block buildings, bridges, domes and arches. A real working construction crane builds up visitor's cooperation and coordination skills.
Transit Hub: Beep beep! Zoom! In this zone, a mix of motion-related exhibits demonstrates the principles of aerodynamics, shows how gears turn motion into energy, and challenges visitors to work together to discover the best way home through a tilting tabletop maze.
Tech Works: True product-ivity. This area hums with the excitement of a manufacturing laboratory. Here, visitors design, build and test their own inventions and then compete as a real production team to roll out products with top speed and top quality.
