St Louis, MO (AP) - The President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, proclaimed this day as "America's Sports Car Day" in honor of the 1962 Corvette.

Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson released the final production numbers and statistics on the 1962 Corvette.
