To
Celebrate Corvette's 50th Anniversary, the National Corvette
Museum presented a Historic Motorama of Corvettes. The NCM
Historic Motorama consisted of one Corvette from each production
year, 1953-2002. The Motorama began at Corvette's birthplace
in Flint Michigan, and rolled on to its current home in Bowling
Green Kentucky. Scheduled stops included the GM Design Center
in Detroit, where Harley Earl and his design staff sculptured
the concept car that became the Corvette, as well as St. Louis,
where the car was produced from the end of 1953 to 1981. The
Motorama made its final stop at the Bowling Green Corvette
Assembly Plant on June 28. The Motorama's arrival signalled
the beginning of the Museum's three-day Corvette celebration.
