In
1967, 22,940 Corvettes were produced. Of this
number only 815 were black; this included both
big blocks and small blocks, coupes and convertibles.
Black was the least popular color in 1967. While
no documented production figures have been released
by GM, this Corvette, with its optional 427 cubic
inch / 435 horsepower motor, side mounted exhaust,
cast aluminum wheels, and red stripe tires, represents
one of probably less than 10 so produced.
The
34,205-mile Corvette presented here retains its
original drivetrain, window glass and interior
(except for the carpet and convertible top).
