LT1: Bluegrass Museum Scenic Tour and Lunch

Travel to Western Kentucky and the heart of Bluegrass music so named for its Kentucky origins.  Bluegrass legend Bill Monroe was born and lived just outside of Owensboro which is the fitting home of the International Bluegrass Museum.  And what more authentic way to take a break than lunch at the famous Moonlite BBQ.

Drive the South Central Kentucky roads to small towns in search of antiques and discover the area’s long and varied history.  Stop in towns like Smith’s Grove, Cave City and Glendale searching for interesting antiques and crafts.  Lunch will be at Tony York’s on Main restaurant located in Glendale, Kentucky.

A drive along the famous Kentucky Bourbon Trail this tour makes a stop at the Lincoln Birthplace National Park on the way to Bardstown KY, the home of several bourbon distillers.  We will stop at Heaven Hill Bourbon Heritage Center for a tour and tasting of Kentucky’s signature product before heading to E’town and the Schmidt Coca Cola Museum for tour and lunch.
