National Corvette Museum
National Corvette Museum

This exciting technical area demonstrates how Corvettes go from the drawing board to working prototypes to actual production models. With input from the General Motors Technical and Design Center in Michigan , scenes show the lifelike figures of actual designers and engineers surrounded by outrageous sketches, prototypes and clay models. Prototypes and one-of-a-kind display cars that never made it to the showroom are part of the mystique of the design and development area, in addition to new 6 th Generation Corvette technology.
A 2005 C6 Corvette Nurburgring Test track exhibit and a cutaway chassis are also part of this area’s unique exhibits, and remember…the Museum is a “living” Museum and displays are ever-changing.
Safety is a major priority for Corvette engineers and designers, and a crash test area complete with a wrecked Corvette and video example of the testing process is a crowd stopper.
Watch new Corvette purchases come to life in our In House Delivery Area, while owners take delivery of their new Corvette at the Museum. When an order for a new Corvette is placed, customers can choose the R8C Option that designates the Corvette purchase as a “Museum Delivery.” Trained staff takes the new Corvette buyer on a tour of the Museum and a hands-on introduction to their new Corvette. Several deliveries are done each day, and give visitors the opportunity to see first-hand what Corvette excitement is all about. Our Museum deliveries are viewed world-wide via our webcams.
